- Statement
- The data source for each boundary is detailed in the "sorind" field. Boundaries were digitised from legislation or documents sourced from the harbour authority. Where datum was missing in the original legislation, OSGB36 was assumed as local datums were used for inshore charts prior to 2000. All coordinates were re-projected to WGS84 (EPSG:4326) using EPSG:1314 transformation. Coastline is generally derived from Ordnance Survey mean high water spring (MWHS). UN LOCODE values accurate as of 2015-02 code list. Gaelic names in nobjnam field from Ainmean-Àite na h-Alba or Ordnance Survey. For the INSPIRE download version, the MHWS from BoundaryLine was applied for consistency and open licensing. Data confirmed as of 03/08/2023.
